I’m a learning and knowledge manager for a large, global organization. This blog is my stream of consciousness regarding managing knowledge (learning, information). My environment consists of some of the smartest people I’ve met, filled with passion and loyalty for their company and fellow worker -all employed by an organization with the values, resources, and vision necessary to establish well over 100 years of success. It’s a dichotomy at times – those same items can conspire to create silos, fiefdoms, resistance to change. Opposing philosophies produce a great deal of tension – but it (most times) is of the creative, productive, and VERY passionate variety. In the least, it will be an interesting ride. I’m excited to have the opportunity to network and learn from others that are in the field as I blog from the front lines of implementing new ideas in such an environment I hope some healthy conversation and dialog in the blogosphere may help sort out what is what.
